can i define what elements must be verified for confirming usage?

To create a new calendar, you first should click on the Schedule Equipment tab on the core's homepage, and then More > Add Schedule. (Figure 1)

When setting up or editing a schedule, you can define what elements must be verified to confirm usage by clicking on the Reservation Verification Settings tab. (Figure 2)

Validations for time, add-on charges, or scans when confirming usage

In this section, you may define whether the system should require additional validation in specific situations. (Figure 3)

Warnings on Confirm Usage

In this section, you may select to display warnings if there are inconsistencies between the logged time and scheduled time. (Figure 4)  If selected, configure when the logged time is considered significantly longer or shorter than the scheduled time.  This will determine when the record will be flagged on confirm usage and if the usage will require verification per the When the logged time is significantly different than the scheduled time setting.

Flagging Settings Review and Verification

In this section, you may define how and if completed events are flagged for additional verification. (Figure 5)

Blocked Usage

In this section, you may define the terms by which a user should be blocked. (Figure 6)

Blocking a user is an automatic or manual way to not allow a specific user from creating reservations for future usage.  This was designed to be a temporary status until the user has done the required steps to be allowed to reserve that resource again.

Verification of logged time

In this section, you may define when the system should require verification of logged time. (Figure 7)

Require manual verification from a user if:

  1. The resource usage has been updated after usage; When the time source is ‘scheduled’.

  2. The resource usage only has been updated by a log file and manual confirmation is required; When the time source is ‘log only’.

  3. The resource usage has only been updated by a log file and the record has been matched with an existing scheduled reservations; When the time source is ‘log match’.

  4. The resource usage was updated by a core staff member; When the time source is ‘core edited’.

  5. The resource usage was updated by the reservation owner; When the time source is ‘user edited’.

  6. The resource usage updated time is significantly different than the originally scheduled time as set in the Warnings on Confirm Usage section ; When the logged time is significantly different than the scheduled time.

Verification of event

In this section, you may set when the system should require verification of an event. (Figure 8) 690  This setting can require a user to manually verify the usage beyond marking the record as invalid on equipment settings using the Validations for time, add-on charges or scans when confirming usage settings.
