how do I confirm an author of a publication?
When administrators are not confirming publication contributions, when authors are identified on publications they will be asked to confirm their contribution to the publication and indicate any cores that they’ve used that also contributed to the publication. A screen is presented to the author upon login. For each publication, the author can indicate whether or not the publication is their own or not. Alternatively, if they’re in a rush, they can ignore the request to confirm the publication up to 5 times. This allows researchers to continue with pressing work and take the time at a later point to confirm their publications.
STEP 1: Decide whether or not the publication is yours. (Figure 1)
STEP 2: If yes is indicated, the customer will be asked to help identify other authors and core facilities that contributed to the publication. (Figure 2)
STEP 3: Once all the publications have been addressed, you may continue into iLab to order services from core facilities. (Figure 3)
