  • File format - for now, we are supporting PDF as the only cage card file format option. This will generate a PDF file of cage cards that can be sent to a printer that can handle our current cage card format.

  • Sort By - options included here are:

    • Date Needed (when the cage cards need to be printed by)

    • Cage Card (Cage Card ID #)

    • Type (Cage Type - Order, for Approved and Non-Approved Sources; Breeding; Weaning)

    • Protocol PI

    • Order ID (iLab Request ID)

    • Request ID (iLab Request ID)

  • Activate upon generation? - This will allow the animal facility to decide whether they want corresponding cage records to be automatically activated once the cage cards are printed.

STEP 5: Download the cage cards.

Once you have defined your printing parameters, click Download. (Figure 6)

Figure 6: Click Download.

Your cage cards will display on the screen. Use your operating system’s print commands to print. (Figure 7)

Once a Cage Card Request has been printed, this will automatically generate a new Cage Record.
